Rock Creek Wins Seattle Elite 12U League Championship

Rock Creek started championship Sunday as the #3 seed after finishing the regular season with a 10-5 record.

Rock Creek faced #2 seed SBC Spartans White in the semi final at Hidden Valley Park in Bellevue.

Rock Creek jumped out early scoring runs in the first three innings including a 4 run 2nd inning. The bats stayed hot throughout the game with RC getting 12 hits, led by Karson Holt 4-4 & 2 rbi’s and just a double away from hitting for the cycle. Braden O’Malley 2-2 & 2 rbi’s, Griffin Bye 2-4, and Garret Chavez with a homerun & 4 rbi’s continued the hitting attack.

Karson Holt pitched the complete game shutout going 6 innings while allowing only 2 hits with 6 strikeouts.

 

In the championship game, Rock Creek faced #1 seed City Baseball under cloudy drizzly skies. Again Rock Creek jumped out early scoring 4 runs in the first three innings, led by Griffin Bye 2-4, Brant Korpi 2-2 and a clutch single by AJ Valdespino to drive in the winning 2 runs in this hard fought 4-2 victory for Rock Creek.

Jackson Walker started the game on the bump for Rock Creek going 6.1 innings for the win. Tanner Nichols came in to shut the door picking up the save with the final two outs.
