Game #1 on Saturday was a dominant 14-1 victory for Rock Creek against Futures Premier. Brant Korpi went the distance on the mound going 3 innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 7. Tanner Nichols, Nate Ketter, Ethan Brimble collected two hits apiece, with Karson Holt leading the way with 3 hits.

Game #2 Saturday was against Vikings BBC, after falling behind 2-0, Rock Creek battled back for 5 runs in the 3rd inning. Aj Valdespino, Jackson Walker and Karson Holt held the Vikings down to 4 runs on 6 hits for the 6-4 win. Garrett Chavez, Tanner Nichols and Casey Megargle led the way at the plate collecting two hits apiece.

Heading into Sundays bracket play Rock Creek was the #1 seed out of 13 teams going 2-0 and allowing only 5 runs.

The 1st game in Sundays gold bracket play found Rock Creek once again against Vikings BBC. This time around Rock Creek had a battle on their hands with the game tied 4-4 heading into the final inning. After holding the Vikings scoreless in the top of the inning, Rock Creek took advantage of a bunt single by Griffin Bye, a walk and a passed ball to allow Karsen Holt to drive in the winning run. Garrett Chavez started on the mound and Tanner Nichols closed it out pitching the final 4 innings allowing only 1 hit and striking out 5.

In the semi final game Sunday Rock Creek faced the Montesano Bulldogs. Jackson Walker stepped on the rubber for Rock Creek and never looked back going 5 innings while allowing 5 hits and striking out 5 in the 11-2 win. Casey Megargle and Karson Holt led the 11 hit attack with 2 hits apiece.

In the championship game Rock Creek jumped out early scoring in each of the first 3 innings, while tacking on two more in the 5th for a 6-0 victory. Karson Holt went the distance on the mound throwing a 1 hitter over 6 innings. The hit attack was led by 2 hits apiece by Griffin Bye, Tanner Nichols and 2 hits and 3 rbi’s from Nate Ketter.
