The 14U Rock Creek Select team played in the GSL Earnit tournament in Tacoma this past weekend taking second place! The team started the weekend by playing solid baseball in the seeding games drawing walks and committing few defensive errors. The team showed great discipline on the field as well as at the plate during pool play which lead them to claiming the top seed. 

In the first playoff game fantastic pitching and great baserunning lead the RC team to the championship game. Once again the 14U team played a great defencive ballgame with great pitching and minimal errors. Unfortunately the team was unable to put together timely hits with runners in scoring position. The game stayed tied  until extra innings when the opposing FCA Cardinals team was able to put together a run. 

It was a great showing for the first tournament of the year and a solid group of games to build off of with league play coming up.
