The 11U team started the weekend with a 8-8 Tie vs. Silverdale Sluggers. The boys came prepared to swing it right out of the gate including Wesley Thompson who led the team with 3 hits. The team had 11 total hits but couldn't hold the Silverdale bats down and wound up in a tie. The 2nd game of the day also saw the RC bats show some punch scoring 9 runs in a win over the Gig Harbor Tides. All but one of their runs were scored in the 2nd inning when a leadoff bunt single by Griffin Bye started the momentum. Great team base running lead to an 8-run second inning.  On the mound Alex Hoyer pitched 2 innings with 12 First Pitch Strikes and RC went on to win 9-8.

On Sunday a 4-run fifth inning with clutch 2 RBI hits from Ethan Sugimoto and Ethan Brimble led RC to a 4-3 win over the Silverdale Sluggers.  Tanner Nichols allowed only 3 hits in 4 innings on the mound.

In the championship, despite great defense RC couldn't hold the other team down and lost 10-3. Jackson Walker and Tanner Nichols added two hits apiece but it wasn't enough to effect the outcome.

All and all it was a great weekend for the boys and the team was very proud of their 2nd Place finish!

Up next for the 11's is the All-American Games Battle Tournament in Kent on May 6th and 7th.
